We got to try the strategy title at Gamescom in Cologne, after a release date was shared earlier this week.

Earlier this week Microsoft's Inside Xbox stream revealed to us that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is landing on November 14, along with the Definitive Edition of the first game releasing on Xbox Game Pass for PC, and now we have even more to share regarding the return of this strategy classic.
We actually got our hands on the game once again at Gamescom to see what's new this time around, so if you remember the good old days or you're just curious about what this Definitive Edition is like, check out the gameplay below.
It should be as you remember it, since the team "stayed faithful" with Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, which is good news for those who remember playing it back in the day.
