Aston Martin promised a new DB car recently, and also noted that it would be a vehicle that wouldn't fit into the GT (grand tourer) category as "Grand is not enough". Well, the British car manufacturer has now lifted the curtain on this new DB, and revealed that it will be the "world's first Super Tourer".
Known as the Aston Martin DB12, this car is looking to ring in a new era for the manufacturer as the "first of its next generation sportscars". It will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that allows the car to clock a top speed of 202 mph, all while doing 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
With an exterior that is customisable through Aston Martin's Q platform, and an interior that features Bowers & Wilkins speakers, Alcantara and Bridge of Weir fabrics and leathers, all on top of an upgraded infotainment suite that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the DB12 is a striking vehicle to say the least.
You can read further into the car's specifics and specifications in the announcement press release here, with the DB12 set to make its first deliveries in Q3 2023.
