Valentine's Day is all about the romance, and even though video games don't usually go hand-in-hand with his holiday, it doesn't stop developers from trying via in-game events to share the love with their players. Thus we've rounded up some of the best events happening today.
Gears of War 4
Cupid's bow is an eternal symbol of love, and Gears of War 4 has its own version - a pink Torque Bow, which comes with Cupid's Torque Bow Tag, bringing a double XP playlist with it and some new weapon skins. You'll need to sign into the competitive page on the site first, but it's worth it for that warm feeling inside.
Luvdisc is quite literally just a heart, and that's why Pokémon Go is making the most out of this Pokémon in their Valentine's Day event, as from now until tomorrow we can find loads of them in the game, which will give us three times the stardust when they're caught, so get out there and start searching for love(discs).
Crimson Days is an event coming to Destiny 2 for Valentine's Day, in which there's a special 2v2 Crucible playlist to test the bonds between partners, whether that be two buddies or a loving gaming couple. Of course there are new romantic emotes and skins to be unlocked too, so you can share the love after your hard-earned victories.
Fortnite's Battle Royale mode is going down the same route as Gears of War 4 by introducing a crossbow to remind us of Cupid. That's not all though, as there are new skins based on a statue (for some reason) and a loveable teddy bear, which should make huddling together to survive that bit more magical.
Undying Love is a new update for Techland's zombie game, challenging us to complete one million co-op challenges with our special zombie-hunting partners. There's also another Valentine's crossbow to enjoy, as well as new car skins to unlock, so get to work if you want those lovely rewards.
And finally, if you're looking for something romantic to play this evening with your significant other, we've got you covered.
