The Witcher series being planned by Netflix has plenty of fans intrigued, and we don't think we're alone in wondering who'll get to dye their hair white and play the infamous monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia. While we don't have a clue who will get the nod, we certainly know of one actor who'd relish the opportunity to take on the role: Henry Cavill.
The actor, who most famously plays Superman in the DCU movies, was speaking to IGN in the run-up to the new Mission Impossible movie when he was asked whether he'd be interested in playing Geralt in the upcoming series. His answer: "absolutely... that'd be an amazing role."
It turns out the Cavill is a big fan of the series and recently replayed through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and he mentioned that he was a big fan of the books by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Cavill also suggested that he'd heard that the series would be borrowing from both the games and the novels.
Who will ultimately play Geralt of Rivia remains unknown, and there are a number of other important roles that still need to be cast. We don't even know when the series will be filmed and when it will run, but like many of you, we're very much looking forward to watching the fantasy series when it eventually sees the light of day.
