Blizzard has just announced the Scholomance Inn-vitational, a competition that will see 20 Hearthstone personalities clash for a prize pool of $100,000. The tournament will take place on August 25 and will see the selected personalities split into 10 teams of two players, with each representing a dual-class pairing.

On the date, the Scholomance Inn-vitational will be supported with full commentary from popular commentators Frodan and Sottle. It will also be broadcast in a series of different languages, including Russian, Turkish, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The full list of rules can be viewed below:

  • Each team will prepare four decks using cards from their Dual-Class pairing and at least 10 Scholomance Academy cards overall.

  • Each player will independently play through 4 rounds of best-of-three matches, with each game victory awarding their team 1 point.

  • If both players on a team win their match with a 2-0 game score, that team will earn an additional 2 points.

  • The final team placements and respective prizing will be determined by the total team point score after all 4 rounds have been completed.

Blizzard has also revealed Twitch drops for the competition, so you can be rewarded by just tuning in and watching the unfolding action. Viewing two hours of any Hearthstone stream on Twitch will grant you one Scholomance Academy card pack. Watching for a further two hours will grant you a second card pack (viewing time doesn't have to be consecutive). Remember though, that you'll need to link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts.

Will you be tuning in to this one later this month?
