Hearthstone heading into open beta

Blizzard had two interesting pieces of news regarding Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft to share with gamers during the opening ceremony of this year's BlizzCon. First up was the announcement that absurdly popular card game would be heading into open beta next month.

Rob Pardo was on stage, partly to tell us that the game is going into open beta next month. However he took care with his announcement, offering the small caveat that "in Blizzard-language may well mean January."

At the same time it was announced by Pardo that the card game, which is currently running on PC and Mac, with an iPad version on the way, would also be coming to iPhone and Android phones and tablets. Patience will be a must in this instance, Blizzard are predicting that the game will land on the mobile platforms in the second half of next year.
