Harry Potter: Wizards Unite gets a shiny new teaser trailer

Not only has Pokémon Go developer Niantic just released their game Ingress Prime into the wild, but let's not forget that theyre also co-developing Harry Potter: Wizards Unite with Warner Bros. Interactive. Niantic CEO John Hanke promised it would be out in 2018, but the first teaser trailer just arrived this week, announcing that it won't be ready until 2019.

The trailer focuses on real people, showing us how some girls casting a spell that fixes a poster on a wall. "The Wizarding world is at risk of exposure. We need your help," the description reads, but why? What do we have to do? How can we help?

In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players will "explore real-world surroundings to unravel a global mystery, cast spells, and encounter fantastic beasts and iconic characters along the way," according to the press release sent by Warner Bros. Interactive. This project is also part of the Portkey Game label, dedicated to creating new video game and mobile experiences tied to the franchise created by J.K. Rowling.
