Fans of German football with likely know the team Hamburger SV, a side that plays in the German Bundesliga alongside names like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, and now The Esports Observer has reported that the team will create an esports department, with the focus being on FIFA 18 for now.
This was allegedly announced during a business event on January 20, where head of sales Oliver Poppelbaum revealed the plans for an esports department, which has just been approved by management. The report also claims that other big esports like CS:GO and League of Legends aren't being considered right now, and that the club wants to partner with schools for esports education and coaching.
