Until Sunday, brave UNSC soldiers can deal with other Spartans, Covenant, or enemy Guardians in the most recent Halo game for free, as 343 Industries revealed on Twitter that Halo 5: Guardians is free to play on Xbox One this weekend, January 11 until 13.

All you need to play is an Xbox Live Gold membership, which allows you to play everything from campaign to multiplayer. A fast internet connection is desirable too, since the shooter will need a whopping 101.04 GB of your hard drive.

Bear in mind that the title is also available on Game Pass, and you can check out our review right here. Will you be giving it a go this weekend?
