Gabe Deyerle, campaign engineer for Halo 5: Guardians, shared some interesting news in the most recent Halo Waypoint update. He says that the team had a particular passion to bring back the scoring aspect to the series, which will manifest itself in the Score Attack mode.
"With over 50 medals to earn in Score Attack, you'll earn the most points for defeating your foes as stylishly as possible", he said. But players must always consider the choice: play independently to get the highest score or work together for survival? This will hopefully create a fun tension between helping your friends and taking advantage of their mistakes.
Score Attack will implement a few changes from the regular modes, such as the removal of all cinematics for those who wish the speed through the game as quickly as possible, as well as putting 'Restart Mission' in the pause menu. All of this to please those who try to be beat their score time and time again.
They also decided to make Legendary All Skulls On a bit easier by enabling revive if you go down while the Iron skull is on. This way you wont necessarily fail if you go down.
