Rennsport is quickly becoming the gold standard for racing esports, as while there are a multitude of different alternatives, Rennsport seems to be the one that most organisations, professionals, and tournament organisers are tending towards. We're seeing this in further effect at the Esports World Cup with it being the only racing title in attendance, a fact that no doubt is a contributing factor to the amount of new team signings we've seen lately.
On this topic, Guild Esports has now signed a Rennsport team, with the aim for the squad to compete in the ongoing ESL R1 circuit to land a spot at the tournament featured at the Esports World Cup in the summer.
As to who will make up this team, we're told that it includes four competitors, each of whom have signed four-month contracts. These are former Mercedes Esports drivers James Baldwin and Bono Huis, rFactor driver Marko Pejic, and iRacing professional Matt Emery.
Speaking about the creation of this team, Guild's CEO Jasmine Skee has stated, "We are delighted to welcome James, Bono, Marko and Matt to the Guild Family. Their exceptional talent and proven track record in competitive racing make them a perfect fit for Guild as we continue our preparation for the upcoming Esports World Cup. Together, we look forward to pushing boundaries, inspiring fans, and achieving greatness on and off the virtual track."
