The London-based, David Beckham backed esports organisation Guild Esports has signed their first professional Fortnite player, in Nikolaj "Flikk" Frøslev. Set to compete as early as this weekend in the $1 million Super Cup, Flikk will support Guild's ambition to be the "world's leading Fortnite esports team," as a press release states.

As it stands, Flikk currently ranks in the top 20 of Fortnite pros in Europe. After recently finishing third in the Fortnite Championship Series Trio Finals, he has netted over $100K worth of prize money across his career.

"We are extremely proud of our latest signing with Flikk, and can't wait to see what he brings to the table as our inaugural Fornite pro-player," said Carleton Curtis, Executive Chairman at Guild. "This signing marks another exciting move for Guild as we expand into a new esports discipline with Fornite and its enormous player base of over 350 million registered players."

"Guild is the perfect fit for me, and I'm determined to continue building on Guild's success, and my own personal achievements," added Flikk to Curtis' statement. "The Guild organisation has been really welcoming and helped me settle in, and I'm eager now to get started and focus on my performance."
