GRTV: The Sims 3 interview

Rasmus caught up with The Sims 3 producer Graham Nardone who had plenty to tell us about the game's two new expansions: Supernatural and Seasons.

Nardone gave his thoughts on the stars of the new Supernatural DLC: "Vampires are really cool. They have these powers over other sims, where they kind of get into their heads and mess with them. I love the vampires because you send them out in the day and they start to crisp up. You don't want that... When seasons comes out Vampires will be able to hold up an umbrella and keep the sunlight off of them."

Vampires and werewolves are certainly in fashion at the moment, but how are the two going to interact in Sims 3: "For us vampires and werewolves are still rivals. So you'll see them live in different sections of the town... We play off the rivalries in fun ways, but players who really want to bring their sims together, if you want to tell a story of romance between and vampire and a werewolf you're certainly welcome to do that."

Whilst Supernatural has just been released, Seasons is still a few weeks off. What can we expect from the new expansion: "Winter's going to be amazing in The Sims: Seasons. You're going to see all these amazing effects come into the game. It really gives a sense of place and purpose to your Sims lives, because as they've played Sims 3 in the past, you don't really see the world change or evolve over time and seasons is going to change that completely."
