Terrible Posture Games's Joe Mirabello talks about the promising indie title Tower of Guns that was part of the IndieCade showcase at E3.

HQ

"You're seeing a roguelike-ish first person shooter. It's not quite a true roguelike, but it's as close as you can get to a game like Binding of Isaac mixed with Quake. It's very fast paced first person shooter old school mechanics. A lot of circle strafing, a lot of quick speed movement, a lot of rocket jumping, things like that. At the same time there are a lot of random elements, random levels, random creatures, random bosses, items, power-ups. So the idea is that the game only takes an hour to play, but it's going to take you 30 or 40 tries before you ever beat it and each of those experiences should feel fresh and unique."

Mirabello worked on the Copernicus MMORPG at 38 Studios before deciding to try his luck as essentially a solo player.

Tower of Guns

REVIEW. Written by Adrian Berg

"Tower of Guns is an exercise in patience, fortitude and old school twitch reflexes. It's an arcade game with an endless supply of enemies and a single goal, get to the top of the tower."
