Greenberg on the future of Xbox: "our team will continue to iterate"

"We'll continue to bring the best hardware in the business to our console gamers."

During Microsoft's press briefing on Sunday night, Xbox boss Phil Spencer mentioned that his engineers are already working on the next generation of Xbox consoles. After the conference (a couple of days later, in fact) we were able to ask marketing chief Aaron Greenberg about those comments, and what they represented.

"Our commitment really is: our fans have committed to us and we're going to commit to them and will continue to deliver the best hardware, just like we have today the most powerful console. And that's really been our focus."

Greenberg continued: "We just launched Xbox One X, so this is not really an 'announcement' but it's just to know that our team will continue to iterate and continue to bring the best hardware in the business to our console gamers."

Watch the full interview below for more on Game Pass, the acquisition of several notable studios (including Playground Games and Ninja Theory), and the absence of Crackdown 3.
