Milestone's new IP, Gravel, is all about the road of off-road racing, and now the developer has released the first part of a series of dev diaries, with this instalment talking about the technical enhancements made to the game.

"Unreal Engine is a game framework produced by Epic Games, which Milestone has decided to embrace, mainly to make significant strides forward from a technological point of view, enabling us to recreate tracks in extremely vast areas of the world which surrounds us," Mike Gamble, European Territory Manager at Epic, said about the collaboration between Milestone and Epic. "The combination of Unreal Engine and Milestone's expertise in the racing sector brought something really special to life, I can't wait to play it".

You can learn more about the technical side of things by watching the dev diary down below. The game itself will be available at the start of 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Can this top Milestone's previous racing games?
