Google delays its ChatGPT competitor
Gemini was expected to launch this November.
HQ
Google has reportedly delayed its ChatGPT competitor Gemini until next year.
The Information notes that Gemini was originally planned to launch this November, but now it might not release until the first quarter of 2024. The outlet suggests that the delay could be due to ChatGPT's strength as a competitor, being that it's fastest-growing consumer software application in history.
Within the report, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that the company is "focused on getting Gemini 1.0 out as soon as possible [making] sure it's competitive [and] state of the art".
