Now that the summer is effectively here many of you are likely raring and ready to head into the great outdoors or to the beach to bask in the sunshine. If so, why not take some tunes with you, tunes pumped out of a retro Lego radio.

The Danish block-building company has now announced a new set that slots into the Icons series and that is known as the Retro Radio. It's designed to resemble technology and gear from the 50s and 60s, and on top of having dials that can interact with pre-recorded sounds in a built-in soundbrick, the set even has a false back panel where you can slot in a mobile phone to play your own songs as though they're coming from the radio.

The set spans 906-pieces and will retail for €99.99 / £89.99, with plans to debut on June 4, and as soon as June 1 for Lego Insiders.
