In Germany it is forbidden to use any form of Nazi iconography in anything except in art and in a historical context. As games are not seen as art, the fact that a blurry swastika managed to slip through the localisation of Wolfenstein has caused Activision to call back the German version of the game.

"Although it is not a conspicuous element in the normal game, we have decided to take this game immediately from the German market", the company states. So far we have no information if Wolfenstein will be re-localised or not.
