Monster Hunter: World

Geralt is coming to Monster Hunter: World next month

The console versions will get the update first, while PC players will have to wait to see The Witcher's hero in action.

Back in December, Capcom and CD Projekt Red unveiled a collaboration for Monster Hunter: World that's due to send the legendary Geralt of Rivia into the Japanese blockbuster, and now we have the release date of this special event courtesy of Twitter, at least for players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

As of February 8, Monster Hunter: World will receive a free title update that brings the iconic hero of The Witcher series into the game. Unfortunately, the publisher only mentions the console versions, so PC players have to wait a bit longer.

Capcom loves collaborations with other franchises and Monster Hunter: World has already benefited a lot. With iconic monsters and characters from Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, and Capcom's own titles such as Mega Man and Devil May Cry, hard-working monster hunters have had plenty to enjoy.

Is Geralt the best addition though?

REVIEW. Written by Kieran Harris

"World is the series at its best and after 14 years of cult fandom, we think its time for it to grace the limelight."
