This past weekend saw the final season of Game of Thrones come to a close with an epic finale, ending the fantasy series once and for all, and the author of the novels George RR Martin has taken to his blog to talk about the ending.

That's not all though, as we also get an update on what he's been up to, including five shows in development at HBO, two at Hulu, and one on the History Channel. He's even working on several feature projects, some of which is based on his own material. There are also short films he'd like to make, but what caught our eye is when he said that he's "consulted on a video game out of Japan".

That's about all the detail he provided on the matter, but earlier this year YouTuber Spawn Wave claimed that he is working on an open-world title from From Software, as he's a lead writer on the project. This rumour even goes as far as to say there are several kingdoms and abilities to see, letting you kill the leaders of said kingdoms.

Gematsu claims to have even more details courtesy of an alleged source familiar with From Software. The project is reportedly known internally as GR and has been in development for the last three years. We can expect to see horse riding too, and the whole thing is a partnership between Hidetaka Miyazaki and Martin, due to be published by Bandai Namco.

The same report also states we can expect to see the announcement at Microsoft's E3 press conference this year.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt since we don't know any details from official channels, but it does make us eager to see what the writer is working on, and when we can expect to see it.

Does this rumour sound good though?
