The first of two international events in the 2024 League of Legends competitive season has come to a close. The Mid-Season Invitational has concluded, and with 12 of the best teams from around the world flocking to China to fight for a share of a $250,000 prize pool and a spot at Worlds 2024 (the other international major), we now have a victor to report on.

The South Korean top seed, Gen.G Esports, has proven to be an infallible force this time around by overcoming Bilibili Gaming in the grand finals to take the tournament. It wasn't a perfect showing as Gen.G did drop a map to the Chinese competitor, but this win does set up Gen.G as the team to beat heading into the final half of the season.

The Summer Season is now set to take place, all before eyes turn to Worlds 2024 this autumn, which is being held in London.
