When Valve boss and Half-Life-creator Gabe Newell's oldest son Gray played Titanfall, he decided to go into game development because he saw potential in the concept, potential which he believes Respawn didn't fully flesh out with its wall-running sci-fi shooter.

Gray went on to co-found indie-studio Naetyr, and his team are now in pre-production for their upcoming sci-fi action-game, Fury, an MMO FPS that he describes as "similar to Gary's Mod, Spore, and in the same vein as Star Citizen."

Gray talks at length in the interview with Valve New Network about the fact that he doesn't play a whole lot of Valve games since he has been "overexposed" to his dad's titles, and he reckons that Valve should move out of the comfort zone more often. He also says that Blizzard is his favourite developer and reckons that their way of re-using assets is the best in the entire industry.

Watch the full interview here for more on how Half-Life 1's baby boss was based on Gray and his new game, and you can check out some concept art for Fury down below.
