FUT Draft coming to FIFA 16

EA ended their Gamescom press conference with some FIFA 16 news, pointing at a new feature called FUT Draft, which is coming as part of the Ultimate Team Mode.

Here players will face several challenges, online or offline, with a team built from limited choices. After you choose a formation, you must create your team by selecting from several Gold quality players, presented randomly for each position.

When the team is formed, players myst try to meet various targets, earning rewards according to their performance. EA Sports didn't specify the type of rewards players will unlock, but they assured us that they'll be transmitted to the real team in FIFA Ultimate Team Mode.

If you're more of a Career Mode kind of player, there are also some new features incoming. Players can now try their luck in new pre-season tournaments to raise extra money and gain prestige. We'll also get a new training mode, with Skill Games-like exercises, perfect when enhancing young player's attributes. Career Mode will also feature a new transfer system and a scouting department that's more dynamic and realistic.

Finally, it was confirmed that we'll see the introduction of 900 extra chants to bring more atmosphere to the digital stands, and we're getting the recreation of television broadcasts from the Bundesliga, similar to what happened with the Premier League last year. FIFA 16 will be released on September 24.
