Publisher Funcom has teamed up with strategy developer Petroglyph (founded by former Command & Conquer veterans back in the day) for a new real-time strategy title set in Conan's world. Conan Unconquered borrows its concept from Early Access title They Are Billions in that it will see you build and upgrade a base and defend against incoming waves of enemies. The game is also playable in co-op and offers massive avatars that presumably will be key to wiping the floor with your enemies.
"It is both a professional and personal honor to be working with the genre veterans at Petroglyph," said Funcom CEO Rui Casais via press release. "My first love is strategy games and I spent endless hours playing Dune 2 back in the day. The current team at Petroglyph is responsible for some truly great strategy games, including Star Wars: Empire at War, and I can think of no one better to bring to life the first ever strategy game set in the world of Conan the Barbarian."

In addition to this game and open-world survival action-adventure Conan Exiles, Funcom are also working on a previously confirmed singleplayer get starring the famous Barbarian. Conan Unconquered is scheduled for release on PC during the second quarter of 2019.
