We stopped by the Has-Been Heroes booth at PAX East 2017 to talk a bit with Frozenbyte's Kai Tuovinen about the intriguing concept that is Has-Been Heroes.
"Has-Been Heroes is a roguelike game based on a lot of strategy and it's played on three lanes," explains Tuovinen. "So you play as three heroes just using a lot of melee attacks as well as spells, and lane swapping and all kinds of tactical maneuvers in order to defeat this incoming horde of skeletons and zombies and all kinds of undeads."
Has-Been Heroes was first revealed during the Nintendo Switch reveal earlier this year, and we asked Tuovinen what it's been like working on the new platform.
"We've loved working on the Switch. It's been super well thought out from a developer perspective. The backend stuff and all the documentation, pretty much everything that Nintendo has worked on the Switch after the Wii U is a huge improvement. Our programmers have loved working on it, so it's definitely something we look forward to working on in the future as well. Just because of that."
Has-Been Heroes arrives on March 28 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
