In January, FoxNext Games announced that they're working on a new FPS based set in the Alien universe. Now, information has surfaced that 20th Century Fox has registered a new trademark, Alien: Blackout, which is a potential title for the next game in the series, as it covers "computer game discs; software, namely game software", and the like.

Perhaps we will learn more during The Game Awards 2018, which will take place next week. Event host Geoff Keighley published on an image on Twitter with the words 'Worlds Will Change', displaying the large W logo. This raises associations with the Weyland-Yutani corporation from the series. Moreover, Hideo Kojima recently visited the 20th Century Fox office and published the mysterious photos with the poster of the first film and a replica of a xenomorph egg. While the latter may not be connected at all, Keighley's tweet certainly suggests something is in the works.

"It's an edgy little adventure that works well on touchscreens and makes good use of the platform's unique benefits."
