It's safe to say that Season 10 of Fortnite has been a mixed bag, because while a lot of the new features have been welcomed, the Brute vehicle - which is essentially a giant mech that two players can pilot - has received criticism, with a lot of fans saying it needs nerfing.
After all of these complaints it seems that Epic Games has finally made the decision to dramatically change the mechs, as revealed during a lengthy post on the matter, decreasing maximum amount of rockets in a single charge from 10 to six and lowering the rate at which the rockets are fired by 56%.
"Our goal with these changes is to increase the back and forth between the users of the Brute and the players they face. These changes allow the players on the receiving end of the missile volley to have more time to react and protect themselves," Epic explains, adding that the radius of the rocket explosion has been reduced by 42% as well.
"Our goal with this change is to improve consistency and understanding around focused barrages of missiles. Brutes will continue to be a strong option against structures, but less lethal against players."
What's more is the dash cooldown has been increased from three to five seconds, the velocity gained from boosting in the air has been decreased by a third, and the Brute no longer grants materials to those inside when stomping through the world and destroying the environment.
