The v8.11 patch notes for Fortnite have revealed some interesting details for competitive players, as there's an additional session for a Gauntlet Solo and Duo Test Event, running from now until March 23 at 00:00 GMT, and March 23 to March 26 at the same time.

A new tournament is also coming on March 23 and 24, with $100,000 USD in prize money up for grabs. This requires you to have placed in the top 3% globally in any Gauntlet Test Event prior to the tournament's start, and the prize pool will extend across all server regions.

Round One is happening on Saturday, featuring all eligible players, while Round Two features the top 3,000 from the first.

On top of that we also find out that participation in the Gauntlet Test now requires a minimum account level of 15 too, as opposed to 10 before.

Will you be trying to compete?
