Fortnite World Cup Finals had 2.3 million concurrent viewers

Epic Games' successful game Fortnite pulled some impressive number of viewers during its World Cup Finals.

It's no secret that people all over the world love the Epic Games title Fortnite and, more specifically, its battle royale mode. It's also known that streaming is becoming bigger each day that goes by. This combination of facts makes it easier to understand the records that the game broke during its World Cup Finals recently, but the numbers are still very much impressive.

During the Fortnite World Cup Finals (via Ron Breslau on Twitter), the Solo Final Cup was won by Kyle 'Bugha' Giersdorf who went home $3 million richer and that same final had 2.3 million concurrent viewers across Twitch and YouTube.

This makes the Finals the most-watched esports event to date.
