Fnatic, still regarded as the world's best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, have announced that they're pulling out of the DreamHack Masters Malmö tournament next week.

The decision is a consequence of a wrist injury that the team's top player, Olof "Olofmeister" Kajber, has been struggling with for the past month.

Apparently, the injury has severely limited the number of hours that Olofmeister has been able to play, and that in turn has prevented the team from getting as much practice as usual. That lack of practice, and the injury's impact on Olofmeisters play, is a big reason why the team didn't perform better at last week's MLG Columbus Major.

Rather than playing with a stand-in, Fnatic has opted to withdraw entirely from DreamHack Masters Malmö in order to let Olofmeister recover.

The team will be replaced by G2 Esports, who came close to qualifying at both the European qualifiers leading up to the event.

DreamHack Masters Malmö takes place from April 12 to April 17, and features a $250,000 prize pool. The 16 teams participating are:

Astralis
EnVyUs
FaZe Clan
G2 Esports
Luminosity Gaming
Natus Vincere
Ninjas in Pyjamas
Virtus.Pro
Lounge Gaming
Mousesports
Team Dignitas
Godsent (formerly known as Team Ancient)
Counter Logic Gaming
Team Liquid
Tempo Storm
TyLoo
