Swedish Counter-Strike team Fnatic can add yet another title to their record, after they beat the Brasilian Luminosity Gaming at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship finals in Katowice, Poland.
While Luminosity didn't manage to win any maps during the best-of-five series, the game was much closer than the 3-0 map score might indicate. Both the first and third maps went into overtime before a winner emerged.
Both those games also showed why Fnatic is regarded as the best team in the world right now. In both games Luminosity got a commanding early lead with 12-3 scores at half-time, and both times Fnatic managed to turn the game around. Final scores for the two games were 19-17 and 19-15.
The second map, Cache, was a different matter entirely, with Fnatic pulling a convincing 16-3 win.
With their win in Katowice, Fnatic continues their impressive streak of taking first place in every tournament they've attended since Dennis "dennis" Edman joined the team in november.
