Now that EA has lifted the curtain on what the inaugural season of EA Sports FC Pro will look like, the London-based esports organisation, Fnatic, has announced that it will be temporarily stepping away from competitive FIFA/EA Sports FC action.

As noted in a post on social media, the team has stated the reason relates to needing time to assess opportunities in the competitive ecosystem, which now seems to be geared mainly toward an open format and less inclined toward teams and organisations supporting teams and players.

This does mean that "Tekkz" and Diogo Mendes will be looking for new opportunities as we head into the first EA Sports FC Pro season, which starts in early October.

REVIEW. Written by Jakob Hansen

FIFA 24 has become EA Sports FC 24, but don't be fooled. The name is unfortunately the most significant change in this year's underwhelming football game from EA Sports.
