Competitive platform FirstBlood has revealed a new competition for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, in which 16 of the top North American teams will compete for a $10,000 USD prize pot on October 6, brought to fans via Twitch.

14 teams were invited to take part, with the last two slots going to open qualifier teams, one of which was assigned to the highest aggregate points score in FirstBlood's weekly Survival Sunday competition, while the other is coming from dedicated open qualifiers, taking place this Friday, October 5, before the main event starts.

In the main event five games will be played, with $6,000 up for grabs for the winners, and the organisations already invited include Cloud9, Envy, and Ghost Gaming. As for watching the event, you can do this via FirstBlood's Twitch channel, where the open qualifier will start at 20:00 ET (01:00 the next morning BST) this Friday, with the main event starting at 16:00 ET the next day (21:00 BST).

Robert Botto, Marketing Lead for FirstBlood, said, "We are really excited to offer this opportunity to the competitive PUBG community. With our $10k PUBG Invitational, we feel that we have created a unique competitive pathway; where players can show up as unknowns, earn a name and reputation for themselves, earn amazing prizes, and ultimately, earn qualification through to major cash events competing against some of the best teams in the world. Make no mistake though, with the likes of Ghost, Cloud9, Envy, Team Gates competing, to name a few, taking home a share of the $10k prize pool will be no walk in the park."

You can even get the Firstblood Royale App right here too. Who can win the tournament though?
