It's probably the best year in ages for racing games, as Forza Motorsport 7, Gran Turismo Sport, Project CARS 2, and Need for Speed Payback are all releasing soon, shortly after the likes of F1 2017 or Dirt 4, and while none of them were adapted to the Nintendo Switch, its users also got the brilliant Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. But that's not realistic, is it?

Announced earlier this month, Gear Club Unlimited tries to cater for that hunger in the hybrid console, with a realistic approach that's closer to DriveClub and NFS than to the semi and full racing sims. It's got realistic visuals, licensed real cars, and some physics to it, and we now have some gameplay and a release date for it too.

Gear Club Unlimited launches on the Switch on December 1, being developed by genre experts Eden Games and published by Microids, and below you can take a look at its graphics, environments, upgrade options and also some beasts from Mercedes, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo, and BMW, among others.

Is this just what you've been looking for on your Switch?
