By means of the latest Active Time Report, Square Enix's own briefing presentation for fans, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has announced a new demo of the game for Japan entitled Judgement Disc, which will be available November 11 (tomorrow).

The game will launch worldwide on November 29, so developers have worked on this new free demo hoping that it'll help people "judge" the final product's quality, hence the name. The content allows players to play the first half of the first chapter of the game, which equates to around a full hour of gameplay, allowing you to sample both mechanics and Noctis' story. Besides, those who complete the demo will get to watch a "special video" of the game when it goes on sale.

The demo, which in Japan will be available for free both as a download and as a disc at retail, is likely to come to the West, and in any case PS4 users with a Japanese PSN account will be able to download it no matter where they are.

In terms of the recently unveiled downloadable content, the ATR didn't deliver new info on Season Pass or the cryptic DLC that will allow for co-op gameplay, but it did present the two free packs planned for the game: Booster Pack and Holiday Pack (the latter of course adorning every city in the game with Christmas decorations).

This will be the third demo for FFXV as it has already gotten a couple of demos showing development progress. Episode Duscae was included with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, while the Platinum Demo has been available since April for every PS4 or Xbox One user. Will you be getting the game come November 29?

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It feels like the series should feel, but adapted for a modern audience, and we're so glad that Tabata pulled this massive project together in the way that he did."
