The latest video presentation Active Time Report just happened and it brought up both new details on first downloadable content for Final Fantasy XV and its new demo, which will be available tomorrow. But that's not all, as director Hajime Tabata and marketing head Akio Ofuji talked visual and performance improvements coming to the game on PS4 Pro, the new model of the PlayStation console that Sony is launching today.

Same as is happening with some other games, Tabata explains that users will get to choose between two graphic options for the game on the new hardware: either 4K resolution at 30 frames per second or an alternative, smoother mode at 1080p and 60 FPS. So far the team has managed to get around 40-50 fps on full-HD, but they're hoping to get to the magic figure within the next few weeks, thus launching an update patch to get the frame rate up to 60.

Already at launch, Final Fantasy XV will also support HDR visuals on both Xbox One S and every PS4 (as long as the linked TV supports it). What platform will you play FFXV on? Leave your comment below.

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It feels like the series should feel, but adapted for a modern audience, and we're so glad that Tabata pulled this massive project together in the way that he did."
