Final Fantasy XV just got its latest DLC (Episode Prompto) earlier this week, and now we are getting some mobile action as well in the form of A New Empire. It's being made by developer Machine Zone, best known for games like Game of War: Fire Age and Mobile Strike.

Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire has been released for iOS and Android devices, and it's an online strategy game where players build their own base, train an army, and then form allegiances and battle against other players. You've probably seen other games that do similar things if you're a mobile regular. This game is set in the world of Eos, just like Final Fantasy XV itself, meaning you can expect to see familiar characters on your touch screen.

According to Machine Zone's general manager Tim Ernst, the developer has worked closely with Square Enix: "Our game studio and the Final Fantasy XV development team have been in close contact from the start. Square Enix was excited to see our expertise in action, and we were excited and humbled to work with the amazing art and design talents that created Final Fantasy XV."

Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire is now available for free, and you can download it here.
