When Square Enix announced the next Final Fantasy XIV expansion, Stormblood, they said to expect further details in December (and they just about kept their word).

One of the new Jobs is the Red Mage. This class will use rapier as its primary weapon, while also using a magical crystal medium. Rack up Chainspells while using both White and Black magic to deal serious damage on the battlefield.

They also revealed that we'll now be able to swim and dive, even while using some of our mounts. With the ability to dive they're introducing new a new underwater beast tribe called the Ananta. They live near Ala Mhigo, where they are oppressed by the Garlean Empire. These creatures are very skilled with magic and gemcraft.

The new 24-person raid is called Return to Ivalice, and is written by Yasumi Matsuno. Keita Amemiya will design all the bosses. Secondly, we have The Bend of Time - Omega. Here eight players are put up against against what seems to be a new version of Omega Weapon.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will launch on PC and PlayStation 4 on June 20 of next year.
