We all know how powerful the Steam sales are and how much they mean to small developers and big publishers alike, but rarely do we hear actual numbers or comparisons. Well, Phil Fish from Polytron tweeted a series of tweets revealing just how much of an impact the sale can have.
"we sold more copies in the first 24 hours of the sale than we had on steam in the first 3 months since release!"
"and over the course of the full 48 hours, we sold more than we had in our first month on XBLA. it's been fuckin' NUTSO."
"we sold 105k units in 48 hours."
"thank you cheap people everywhere!"
As Phil Fish put it. It's BANANERS!
