Female SNK fighters team up for Switch beat 'em up

SNK and NIS America did have a surprise for us during today's Nintendo Direct Mini in the shape of SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy. As the name suggests this is an all-female tag team fighting game starring the various female characters from SNK's Art of Fighting and King of Fighters franchises. A total of 14 characters will make up the roster and Athena Asamiya, Kula Diamond, Leona Heidern, Mai Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki are confirmed thus far.

While the "one-button fighting mechanic" has us a bit worried about the depth to be found here, it's nice to see SNK attempt something a bit different. SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is due out this summer on Switch and there's currently no information whether it may appear on other platforms too.
