Fated: The Silent Oath launches on Vive and Oculus in April
Will be there for the PSVR launch come October.
A new Virtual Reality experience is set to release later this month for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and will be available for Playstation VR when it launches this October.
Named Fated: The Silent Oath, this first-person experience 'aims to set the benchmark for emotionally-charged VR storytelling.' It is under development by Canada's biggest indie studio, Frima Studio (Chariot). The VR adventure follows the journey of a man trying to protect his family from destruction at the hands of the gods. It has a Norse theme and a Pixar-esque art style. It was written by Jill Murray, a writer on Assassin's Creed.
Vincent Martel, Executive producer for Fated, said: "Fear is a concept that is relatively easy to achieve in Virtual Reality, but for Fated, we wanted to explore compassion, sadness, happiness and other complex emotions. Nothing is stronger than the connection between a parent and his child. We knew we would strike a sensitive chord with players in Fated."
Fated: The Silent Oath is developed in Unreal Engine 4 and set to release on April 28 for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and will release on PSVR when it launches. You can check out the latest trailer for the game below.
