The massive announcement from Ubisoft didn't come as a surprise, we knew we were going to get a first look of the next game in the Far Cry franchise before The Game Awards ceremony started, but the trailer definitely packed a punch. Ubisoft is bringing the popular post-apocalyptic setting to the Far Cry universe and the game looks as crazy as ever. Flashy vehicles can be seen flying off ramps, rocket launchers are fired, wild animals are seen both attacking the played character and licking their faces - and most importantly; dog companions are back.
Apart from the crazy stuff, it's also worth noting that two of the more important characters in the trailer (at least if one is judging from the trailer screen time as well as being on the cover of the game) are two women of colour, which is definitely a step in the right direction regarding representation in video games. Far Cry: New Dawn will release on the 15th of february 2019.
