This past weekend saw Eleague host the FUT Champions Cup February for FIFA 19, and after the best players in the world had descended on the studio in Atlanta, Donovan 'F2Tekkz' Hunt emerged as champion once again after defeating Diogo Eurico Fidalgo 'Tuga810' Pombo in the grand final.

With this win F2Tekkz adds to a trophy cabinet that includes the Champions Cup in Bucharest this season and Barcelona last season, as well as the eClub World Cup mere weeks ago. He gets the lion's share of the $100,000 USD prize pool and 1,500 Global Series Points as well, which help competitors qualify for future events.

"This is the best I have ever felt after winning a final... [Tuga810] is really good, so I struggled more than I ever have before performance-wise. It feels amazing," F2Tekkz said.

F2Tekkz had to defeat another decorated competitor, Musaed 'MsDossary' Al Dossary, in the Xbox final, overcoming an early defeat to win in the second leg. Tuga810 toppled F2Tekkz' eClub World Cup partner Nicolas 'Nicolas99FC' Villalba in the PlayStation final too, although he couldn't prevent F2Tekkz from becoming the firs player in history to win three FUT Champions Cups.

Eleague will also be hosting a licensed qualifier at the Eleague Arena from May 3 to 5, with more details to come over the next few weeks.

Is F2Tekkz the best player in the world right now?
