If you bounced off Evil Within 2, didn't pick it up in the first place because you don't like third-person games, or even if you loved it and want to go back for a second run, Tango Gameworks has given you every incentive to take another look at its horror game by adding a new first-person mode as part of a new update across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
"A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game's situations through Sebastian's eyes, it's a really neat experience," producer Shinsaku Ohara wrote. "I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you're in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs."
The update is available now, and you can see it in action in the trailer below.
