Event 2 of the 2021 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship sees Red Bull and Mercedes tied on-top
Red Bull had a striking couple of days, winning all three of the races.
The second event in the 2021 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship has now concluded. The event took the constructors and drivers to three different races over two days, where they competed on the Silverstone and the Monza tracks on Wednesday and then at Spa-Francorchamps yesterday, and despite all three races being highly competitive, Red Bull managed the impressive feat of taking the top spot each time.
At Silverstone, it was Frede Rasmussen who achieved victory, and then later that day, it was looking like Rasmussen was also going to take home a second place at Monza, until he was nudged of the track and ended up finishing eighth, with his teammate Marcel Kiefer taking the win for Red Bull.
Then, yesterday at Spa, Red Bull once again looked pretty dominant, with Rasmussen returning to form with a win, and Kiefer even managing to take home fourth, netting even more points for Red Bull.
Despite Mercedes struggling to find a victory over the past few weeks, Jarno Opmeer's double second place finishes at Monza and Spa has kept him ahead in the Driver Standings, even if it's all neck-and-neck in the Constructors Championship.
The next batch of events, which will see even more of a shake-up in the standings, is set for November 24-25, when the teams and drivers will be looking to take to Portimao, Zandvoort, and the Circuit of the Americas. You can catch the action when it kicks off at the F1 Esports website.
