Eternal Darkness creator returns with Deadhaus Sonata

A free-to-play co-operative RPG.

Some of you may know Denis Dyack as the creator behind Eternal Darkness, and now IGN reports that he's back with a new game called Deadhaus Sonata, a co-operative free-to-play horror RPG, following on from Shadow of the Eternals which failed to make a splash on Kickstarter.

Following on from the likes of a lot of games recently, there will be Lovecraftian elements to the game taken from Eternal Darkness, as well as gothic RPG elements from Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and RPG elements of Too Human as well.

Dyack's studio Apocalypse is using Amazon's Lumberyard engine, a free, cross-platform option based on Crytek's Cryengine, the engine used by Dyack and his team as they developed Shadow of the Eternals.

Are you pleased to see Dyack back?
