Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was a hit with many a Switch user when it launched last month, but the esports community is also intrigued by the release, as it joins the existing games in the series that have their own spot in the Fighting Game Community (FGC).

In fact, Genesis is one of the biggest tournaments around for Smash, and Genesis 6 has now released its ruleset for Ultimate, as reported by Dot Esports. There's a lot there that's standard for the scene, but players can also use Mii fighters with any movesets in the competition, starting on February 1.

These Miis will have to be created before the competition to save time, but it's an interesting addition, one which we'll have to see in practice as this is one of the first major events for Ultimate since release.
