The Intel Extreme Masters CS:GO tournament in Chicago has just come to a close, and Astralis were the team who lifted the trophy after a week's worth of competition, beating Team Liquid in the grand final to earn $100,000 USD.

This is Team Liquid's second defeat on home turf in a few months, as they came second place in the ESL One New York tournament back in September, and suffered a 3-0 loss in this grand final, even losing the last map 16-4 on Inferno.

Astralis had to defeat Mousesports 2-0 in the quarter-final, before facing Fnatic in the semi-final, but Fnatic gave them a bit of a shock by taking a map off them on Mirage. Astralis bounced back to win 2-1 though, and this whole tournament goes to show why they're considered the best team in the world, despite losing 2-0 against FaZe Clan early on.

Is Astralis the best team in the world?
