Tencent Games and PUBG Corp. have announced a brand new tournament called the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, where squads from Europe, North America, South America, Japan, Korea, and China can compete for a prize pool of $600,000 USD, with the finals being held in Dubai before the end of the year.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is sponsoring the competition, as PUBG Mobile is now available for download on Samsung Galaxy. To take part in the tournament, a player must have over 1,000 fans or followers across a selection of specified streaming platforms, but you can make a squad of up to three others without any other requirements.
Registration already ended on September 10, and the top 20 teams from each region will go onto the qualifier rounds and then the global finals, where the grand champion will get $200,000 of the winnings and will become a partnered content creator for the game.
The first major stop for this event will be the Europe Final from September 29 to 30 in Kiev, Ukraine, with other events continuing on until we get our winners. Do you like that PUBG Mobile is getting some more esports love?
